Where do I put the generated code?

Paste the generated block anywhere inside your page's (or body, which Google also supports). Each page should have structured data that matches what's actually visible on that page — don't describe content that isn't there.

Will this guarantee my page gets a rich result in Google Search?

No. Valid structured data makes your page eligible for a rich result, but Google decides whether and how to display one based on many factors, including your page's overall quality and Google's own policies at the time. Always test your final markup with Google's Rich Results Test.

Which fields are actually required?

This generator marks the fields Google currently documents as required for each type with an asterisk (*) — for example, Article needs a headline, image, date published, and author; Event needs a name, start date, and a physical location. Every other field is optional but often improves eligibility or how the rich result looks.

Required properties, verified against Google's current documentation

Article — headline, image, date published, author.
Product — name, image, and an offer with price, currency, and availability.
Local Business — name and a full postal address.
Event — name, start date, and a physical location (online-only events aren't eligible for Google's Event rich result).
FAQ — at least one question and answer pair.

A note on dates

Article and Event dates should be in ISO 8601 format with a timezone offset, for example 2026-03-15T18:00:00+05:30. This tool doesn't reformat dates for you — copy the exact format shown in the placeholder text.

Assumptions and limitations

This tool generates valid JSON-LD syntax for the fields you provide, but it can't verify that your page's visible content actually matches what you enter — mismatched structured data is one of the most common reasons rich results get rejected or revoked. Always test the final markup with Google's Rich Results Test before relying on it, and keep your structured data in sync if the visible page content changes.
